| Exceptional and unique teacup and toy size registered Miniature Schnauzers of unusual colors! |
| I breed for quality in temperament and conformation! Although I do not guarantee size at maturity these are the guidelines that I use to classify my mature schnauzers: My teacup size is approximately 7 pounds and under My toy size is approximately 8 to 10 pounds A small miniature is approximately 11 to 14 pounds- I don't breed for this size. An average miniature schnauzer is between 15 and 20 pounds. - I don't breed for this size. When they go to their new homes all of my schnauzer puppies have a permanent identification microchip with their tails docked and ears cropped, no exceptions! Before leaving my care, all of my puppies will be current on all age appropriate vaccinations and de-wormings recommended by my Vet at the time of shipment, delivery or pick-up. I supply a written record of the puppy's vaccinations and de-wormings. I also provide a current Veterinary health certificate but I require at least four days notice to do so. THE TEACUP AND TOY SIZE Please be aware that the teacup and toy sizes are registered as miniature schnauzers, bred down in size from pure registered bloodlines, but currently they are not recognized as a separate class. They have been bred down to this size to meet the demand for sturdy small pets with all of the attributes of disposition, attitude and confirmation of the miniature schnauzer. Which is probably the very reason you are interested in my puppies! These smaller sizes are deducted points in AKC "confirmation show" competitions. They can, with the proper training, compete equally in Agility, Obedience and Earthdog events. AKC registered puppies may qualify for AKC's CGC (Canine Good Citizen) program. Puppies (under one-year of age) can also qualify for the new AKC S.T.A.R. PUPPY PROGRAM. ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS The "toy" or "teacup" size schnauzer is just a smaller version of the miniature schnauzer, in that he is sturdy, blocky, muscular and not delicate in bone structure. Miniature schnauzers were originally developed for use as a small farm dog, used as a ratter. His size has permitted him to adapt easily to small city quarters. As a rule, a Miniature Schnauzer is not a fighter, although he will stand up for himself if necessary. The Miniature Schnauzer is now primarily viewed as a charming and attractive companion. He is devoted to his home and family, and functions very well as a guard dog in that he can give an alarm as well as a larger dog. His good health, good temperament, and attractive appearance combine to fit him admirably for his role as family pet. He is spunky and fearless, but NOT AGGRESSIVE, so he can live well with most other pets. It has been my experience that both males and females make equally good pets and my adult schnauzers get along very well with each other, regardless of their gender. As with all terriers, it is in his nature to "go to ground" to attack "vermin" of all kinds. He is as much at home in the city with a reasonable amount of exercise, as he is in the country where he appears tireless. He can easily adapt to changes in conditions or climate. The miniature schnauzer (and likewise the "toy" and "teacup" size schnauzer) is generally sweet, loving and loyal. Even though he will love the whole family he often will have a favorite person. He is intelligent and learns very quickly. The overwhelming majority of my customers have reported excellent quick results in housebreaking their puppies! Schnauzers shed so very little, one could easily believe that they do not shed at all! You will not reach down to pet your schnauzer and come back with a 'handful' of hair, even in the summer. Therefore they tend to cause fewer and less severe allergies in people who are allergic to other breeds of dogs. They do require at least a weekly brushing of their beard and leg furnishings (daily brushing is best) and may be bathed as often as once a week. In order to stay looking their very best they should be groomed (clipped) every 4 to 6 weeks. I reserve the right to refuse to sell my schnauzers to anyone for any reason!
